City lawyers have rallied to the defence of the training contract amid signals that the Law Society is gearing up for major reforms to the UK’s legal education framework.
Widespread support for the training contract has been revealed in this month’s consultation on professional education, which sets out a number of reform options, including adding an additional exam at the end of the training contract and allowing universities to offer a combined four-year degree and LPC.
