Xenova, the pharmaceuticals group, has chosen Simmons & Simmons over Slaughter and May and SJ Berwin to advise on a UK/US share placing. The firm advised Xenova on the £21m deal after a meeting at the Bio-Industry Association earlier this year.

“We have been getting to know them over the past six months and hope to continue working for them from now on,” said corporate partner Mark Curtis, who led the Simmons team. In the past Xenova has instructed Slaughters and SJ Berwin for the lion’s share of its work.
