New Bar Council chairman warns lawyers are 'pushing the boundaries of regulations'

Incoming Bar Council chairman Stephen Irwin QC has called on commercial lawyers to take a stronger line on avoiding conflicts of interest – warning that lawyers should “be professionals first, and businessmen second”.
Speaking to Legal Week, Irwin said he was worried that some UK lawyers were “pushing the boundaries” of professional regulations.
