The Paris Bar is lobbying the European Parliament in a bid to secure a reduction in the amount of value added tax (VAT) that is levied on legal services.
Delegates from the influential Bar attended a public hearing of the parliament’s legal affairs group this March in a bid to persuade it to put pressure on the European Commission (EC) to significantly cut VAT rates for legal bills.
