The UK’s leading business solicitors overwhelmingly back calls for the Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine, to be stripped of his power to appoint judges and Silks, according to the results of this week’s Legal Week/EJ Legal Big Question survey.
An overwhelming 90% of our panel of more than 100 leading lawyers voted in favour of taking the appointment of judges and Queen’s Counsel out of Irvine’s hands.
