Given the amount of positive publicity Osborne Clarke (OC) has received in the past, Burges Salmon could be forgiven for experiencing a touch of schadenfreude at its rival’s current, and well-publicised, difficulties.
But, in keeping with his firm’s reputation for restraint, Burges Salmon senior partner Richard Wynn-Jones resists the temptation to put the boot in when quizzed about OC. “Osborne Clarke is a very good firm, we do think they will come out of this strongly,” he observes.
