The recruitment market in Yorkshire and the northeast will remain buoyant in coming months with steady – and in some cases increasing – hire levels on the cards. However, London is no longer seen as the fertile hunting ground it once was for senior fee earners.
Research carried out by Legal Week in conjunction with Michael Page Legal revealed that the region’s leading firms are definitely hiring – though not at partner level – and that having the Big Smoke on the CV was no longer the door-opener it once was.
