A Benchmarker survey published last August in Legal Director, found that only 47% of clients involved in large-scale litigation had been offered electronic litigation support services by their primary law firms. The equivalent figure for the US in terms of both its availability and uptake would be closer to 100%.

The past 15 years have seen a sea change in the relationship between UK firms and their clients. Many would argue that a greater focus on service levels along with a more competitive environment has significantly enhanced the relationship.
