Spanish giant Garrigues has begun alliance talks across Europe and Latin America in a bid to reposition the 1,000-lawyer firm following this year’s split from the defunct Andersen Legal (AL) network.
Garrigues’ managing partner Jose Maria Alonso told Legal Week Global the firm hoped to conclude alliance discussions within two months with a group of international firms as well as finalise its domestic tax agreement with big four accountant Deloitte & Touche.
