Local partners of defunct Andersen firm Garretts have recovered their capital contributions in full, although the UK firm’s Andersen Worldwide partners are continuing to negotiate for full payment, it has emerged.
Legal Week understands that those partners who attracted extra liabilities as members of the Andersen Worldwide umbrella entity have currently negotiated for half of their capital to be repaid yet remain hopeful of obtaining an increased settlement by the end of the month.
It is understood that capital contributions exceeded £250,000 in some cases.
