Given the emphasis the Government has put on
simplifying the UK’s infamously tortuous planning process, observers could be forgiven for thinking that lawyers backing reform would be akin to the proverbial turkey voting for Christmas.

Yet judging by the profession’s response to the green paper on planning reform issued by the Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions (DTLR) in December, our metaphorical turkeys are at least willing to give the festive spirit a go.
