Upcoming Revision to ISO's Homeowners Program
These proposed changes are being filed in all jurisdictions where ISO files effective dates.
Many of the updates include language regarding home-sharing host activities or cannabis. (Credit: PheelingsMedia/Adobe Stock)Taking effect March 1, 2022, ISO is filing changes and updates to many of the homeowners forms, as well as withdrawing and introducing new endorsements. These proposed changes are being filed in all jurisdictions where ISO files effective dates. The changes are not being filed in Puerto Rico and Virginia. Bear in mind that various state supplements will take precedence over the standard forms.
A new policy form, HO 00 14 03 22 Homeowners 14 – Contents Comprehensive Form is being added to the forms library. While similar to the HO 00 04 form, there are many differences. As more people live at home with parents or share homes with others, this form was developed to address some unique needs for those in that group of insureds. An analysis of this form can be found in the following articles; we have broken it into sections for ease of use.
