Judge Faces Charges for Absenteeism. But Was She Working Remotely?
"You were absent from the courthouse and not otherwise working full time on a recurring basis," the Judicial Qualification Commission stated in formal charges.
Palm Beach County Court Judge Marni A. Bryson is in the hot seat for alleged unexplained absences from the courthouse between 2016 and 2019.
But her lawyer, Scott N. Richardson, said the judge had been working from home—just as many are doing now during the pandemic—and never missed work.
