In only the second climate change lawsuit to reach trial in the United States, a Supreme Court of New York, Appellate Division judge has handed Exxon Mobile a victory, stating that the Attorney General failed to prove that the oil company broke the law. The case is Matter of Exxon Mobil Corp. v. New York City Dept. of Envtl. Protection, 2019 N.Y. App. Div. LEXIS 8753.
