Raccoons Cannot Engage in ‘Vandalism’ or ‘Malicious Mischief,’ Pennsylvania Court Rules in Insurance Coverage Suit
A Pennsylvania court has ruled that an insured’s claim that its dwelling had been damaged by raccoons engaging in “vandalism and malicious mischief” was not covered by its insurance policy.

A federal district court in Pennsylvania has dismissed an insured’s case against an insurance company after concluding that the insured’s claim that its dwelling had been damaged by raccoons engaging in “vandalism and malicious mischief” was not covered by the policy.
