The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, reversing a decision by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, has ruled that health care providers who signed provider contracts with an insurer were not beneficiaries entitled to sue the insurer under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”).
