The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has created a crime insurance endorsement to help protect companies from an increasingly prevalent type of fraud. The company said that its social engineering fraud endorsement provides coverage for an organization’s losses when an employee is tricked into making a payment through email, telephone, letter, or other means to someone who purports to be a vendor or client.

Coverage is available up to $250,000 per occurrence with no annual aggregate, although higher limits may be available to qualified customers.
