An appellate court in Arizona, reversing a trial court’s decision, has ruled that a health care provider with a perfected lien for the costs of its having treated an insured could recover the amount it was owed from the insured’s carrier even though the carrier already had issued payment to the insured in a check payable to the insured and the health care provider.
