Jennifer D. Malinovsky has been elected to the Executive Committee at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. She and Michael E. Hollingsworth II join the firm’s governing body of seven partners who oversee standing committees, strategic initiatives and firm operations.

A partner in the firm’s Atlanta office, Malinovsky has chaired several standing committees, including the Recruiting Committee and Associates Committee. She also served two years on the firm’s Diversity Committee. Malinovsky’s practice focuses on healthcare, finance and corporate law. She represents healthcare providers and entities with transactional, finance and regulatory matters and also assists commercial lenders and investors with various types of financing transactions.

The firm has also hired Britton Clarke as a senior policy advisor in the Washington, D.C. office. She previously served as Vice President of Legislative Affairs for the American Trucking Association (ATA). Clarke has more than a decade of Capitol Hill and government relations experience as a legislative lobbyist and executive advocating federal and state regulatory issues.

Jackson joins Nelson Mullins’ IP practice

Previously an intellectual property lawyer with Clariant Corp., Susan Jackson has joined the IP team of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, resident in the Charlotte office as a partner.

Jackson has handled patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition claims, along with client counseling, licensing and opinion work and transactional matters. Her practice emphasizes patent and trademark preparation and prosecution.

Jackson, who has a B.S. in chemical engineering from Clemson University, along with a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, has experience in chemical and materials-related inventions in the areas of specialty chemicals, chemistry, additives, surfactants, pigments, antimicrobials, energy, fuel cells, materials, textiles, films, fibers, nonwovens, polymers, bioengineering and medical devices.
