One of the legal spaces getting the most media attention over the past couple of years has been intellectual property. While the volatility can be substantial, there is no denying the potential for profit that IP companies possess.

One well known IP acquisition and licensing giant, Inventergy, Inc., has recently appointed Anna Johns, vice president of licensing, and Chris Camarra as the company’s director, investor relations.

Led by IP industry veteran Joe Beyers, Inventergy leverages decades of experience, technology expertise, and industry connections to help Fortune 500 companies utilize their innovations to achieve a higher ROI. Inventergy aspires to enable a new world of IP value creation built upon a more transparent, above-board and ethical business platform.

“Ms. Johns will leverage her vast and demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing licensing project teams to drive results. She especially brings deep telecommunications technology and licensing expertise for commercializing our core telecom patent portfolios,” Joe Beyers, Chairman and CEO of Inventergy, said in a statement.

Johns brings fifteen years of experience in IP licensing and patent litigation to her new role. She previously held the position of Director of Patent Licensing and Commercialization at Ericsson Inc., where she was responsible for all North American revenue-generating licensing. During her tenure at Ericsson, she completed patent license agreements with major personal computer, telecommunications infrastructure, and cellular telephone companies. Prior to Ericsson, she served as Senior Manager, Patent Licensing at Nokia , where she managed the settlement of many patent lawsuits as well as founded Nokia’s WLAN patent licensing program.

Beyers continued, “I’m also pleased Chris brings his experience and long-standing relationships to streamline our communications and improve relations with both shareholders and the broader capital markets.”

Camarra, who specializes in connecting public companies with existing and prospective investors, the media, and industry analysts, joins Inventergy with over 10 years of experience in managing investor relations and corporate communications programs. Prior to joining Inventergy, he was a Partner at Alliance Advisors, LLC, a New York based investor relations and corporate communications company. Camarra also served as a member of Ernst & Young’s finance team with a focus on financial reporting and engagement economics.
