Warner Bros. has reportedly resolved the copyright infringement lawsuit brought by tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill, who sued the movie studio for allegedly using his copyrighted artwork in the film “The Hangover: Part II” without his permission.

Whitmill, who created an original copyrighted facial tattoo for boxer Mike Tyson, filed suit in April when he discovered that Ed Helms’ character in the new “Hangover” film sported an identical tattoo on his face. Whitmill asked a federal judge to halt the May 26 release of the film. Warner Bros. said its digital editors could alter the tattoo for the DVD version of the film.

The suit was settled for an undisclosed amount.
