Practice Profile: Rajani Gupta represents banks and other financial institutions as lenders and strategic investors, as well as private equity funds and corporations as borrowers in domestic and international financings, including financings of mergers and acquisitions, debtor-in-possession and exit financings, first and second lien financings and working capital and asset-based financings.

Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work: Rajani has played a critical role in establishing the leveraged finance team at Allen & Overy in New York. She serves as the administrative partner for the group, organizing partner meetings, marketing efforts and actively leading recruiting, both at a senior level and among junior associates. She serves as a formal and informal mentor for many associates in the group She is also head of the firm’s U.S. Women’s Committee, an initiative geared towards developing training, client development events, progression opportunities and mentoring resources for female associates. In addition, Rajani is a member of the New York office’s pro bono committee. She actively assists in the selection of pro bono partners for the U.S. offices, and serves as a relationship partner for GS Gives, the non-profit arm of Goldman Sachs, helping establish and coordinate pro bono opportunities between the two organizations. Rajani’s commitment to these endeavors has spanned her career. Rajani is also an active member of the LSTA (Loan Syndications & Trading Association), an association geared towards developing market standard practice for loan participants.
