Q: What are some of your proudest recent achievements?
A: Professionally, my part in the transition of our firm from a small boutique to global litigation powerhouse is certainly the achievement that is most noteworthy to me. From the perspective of cases, the two that stick out most in my mind are the settlement of the holocaust disputes with the Swiss Banks and the early cases brought on behalf of MBIA involving the collapse of mortgaged backed securities. The former was more of a political settlement than a legal one, it involved a fascinating array of characters and creative procedures designed to settle claims of a worldwide class.
