Practice Profile: Maxwell represents clients in middle-market corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. His clients include private equity and venture capital firms, individual angel investors and angel investor networks. Maxwell has represented a private equity-backed portfolio company in its $125 million acquisition of a tax compliance software business. He also represented the founders and management team of a health care company in a $250 million sell-side transaction.
Maxwell started Morris Manning & Martin’s Angel Network, which connects early-stage technology companies with sources of capital. He also launched and leads the transactional franchise law practice. This area focuses on representing franchisors and franchisees in financings, acquisition and dispositions.
