Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo swore in 180 new citizens at a naturalization ceremony held at the Eastern District Courthouse on Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn on April 18, 2017. This occurs several times a week in the court’s Ceremonial Courtroom.

Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is conferred upon a foreign citizen or national after fulfilling the requirements of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
