Ropes & Gray has hired back a transactions lawyer as a Shanghai partner in its life science group.
Eric Wu was most recently Asia Pacific M&A regional counsel for pharmaceutical and consumer goods giant Johnson & Johnson Services Inc., where he oversaw the company’s mergers and acquisitions in the region and legal matters related to its Asia Pacific Innovation Center—a Shanghai-based accelerator for early-stage technologies. In addition to M&As, he also worked on research and development, licensing and government-related matters.
Wu returns to Ropes & Gray, where he practiced as an associate in Shanghai before joining Johnson & Johnson in 2015. Earlier in his career, he was an associate with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Shanghai.
