Dr. Armstrong is an ear, nose, and throat surgeon with advanced training in allergy, sinus surgery and facial plastic surgery. He has more than 25 years’ experience as a practicing ear, nose and throat specialist in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Armstrong obtained his degrees from Princeton University and Duke University Medical School, and then trained for 6 years at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and by the Fellowship program of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is the founder and president of Richmond ENT and holds the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. He serves on the Ethics Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head Neck Surgery. Dr. Armstrong is a trained expert witness who has assisted plaintiff and defense attorneys in more than 230 criminal, medical liability, personal injury, or disability cases. Common claims include 3M earplugs, motor vehicle injuries, hospital death, missed cancers, strangulation, tinnitus, hearing loss, throat injuries, and surgical complications following neck dissections, tonsillectomies, nasal and sinus surgeries, and facial cosmetic surgery.
