Dr. David F. Goldsmith is an experienced consultant providing epidemiology services as an expert witness for both plaintiffs and defense attorneys. He is an expert in general causation assessment, asbestos and silica dust exposures, hospital laundry hygiene, firefighter exposures, male and female mesh, hazardous military exposures, pesticides, PFAS, Covid-19, and railroad litigation.

He has been qualified as an occupational and environmental health expert in proceedings before both federal and state courts. Dr. Goldsmith has testified at Daubert hearings, California Proposition 65 hearings, and at numerous deposition and trial appearances. He has worked for clients in: California, Oregon, Nevada, Texas, Illinois, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, West Virginia, New York, Virginia, Montana, Nebraska, Louisiana, Missouri, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut. He has overseas medical/legal consulting experience.

Dr. Goldsmith was a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) panel assessing the carcinogenicity of silica. In 2006, he was Chair of a peer-reviewed panel on asbestos remediation methods for the U.S. EPA. In 2014, he was a Fulbright Fellow of the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, and in 2017 was a Fulbright Specialist at Ateneo de Manila University in Philippines. He is the Principal Epidemiologist for the Railroad Union Health study since 2016. He is past president of Workplace Health Without Borders - US Branch. Currently he is president of Fulbright Association National Capital Area Chapter.
