Andrea Nelsen MD/MPH

Andrea Nelsen, MD/MPH is a graduate of Cornell University Medical School and a board-certified psychiatrist with over 14 years of professional experience. Trained at Baylor College of Medicine and the Mayo Clinic, she is a leading expert in aviation and aerospace psychiatry, with nationwide and international experience. She has extensive trial experience and is qualified to testify on medical malpractice (plaintiff and defense), civil and criminal matters, psychiatric competency, fitness for duty, and professional misconduct issues. She was awarded with a Fulbright Scholarship and the Rappeport Fellowship from the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. She is the author of numerous peer reviewed scientific articles, presents regularly at professional conferences and has appeared on radio and television.
