In Round Rock Research v. ASUSTeK Computer, a federal judge has rejected the application of the state Supreme Court's "dual jurisdiction" doctrine granting Delaware courts jurisdiction over nonresident defendants if they are alleged to have violated two prongs of Delaware's "long-arm" statute. The ruling came in a case where the court dismissed patent infringement claims against a Taiwan-based computer manufacturer, but not its U.S. subsidiary.
