There's no need for the Federal Circuit to insert itself into Delaware Chief U.S. District Judge Colm Connolly's investigation into patent assertion entity funding, so argue a team of Fish & Richardson attorneys led by principal Neil McNabnay in a filing Tuesday.

The appellate court should not "impede the district court's inherent powers to uncover whether there is fraud being committed on the judicial system," the Fish attorneys argue on behalf of four media companies that are being sued for patent infringement by Nimitz Technologies LLC.
