Six months after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit reversed the convictions of four Wilmington Trust executives, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware has announced that it will let that decision stand.

In a July 6 statement, U.S. Attorney David C. Weiss said the Attorney’s Office will not retry the case of executives David Gibson, Robert V.A. Harra, William North and Kevyn Rakowski, who in 2018 were sentenced to prison for their involvement in the reporting scandal that led to Wilmington Trust’s 2011 collapse.
