Named last week as Gov. Jack Markell’s pick to serve on the Delaware Superior Court, Abigail LeGrow, a master in Chancery, is poised to take over the judgeship just months after she was a runner-up for a seat on the Chancery Court bench.

Markell announced the nomination Dec. 21, heralding LeGrow for her work ethic, intellect and decision-making ability. Those characteristics, forged in LeGrow’s fact-finding role in the Court of Chancery, suited her to the position of judge of the Superior Court, Markell said in a statement.
