Bayard P.A. director Stephen B. Brauerman was the 2014 recipient of the Caleb R. Layton III Service Award, chosen by the judges of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
Brauerman received the award June 11 from U.S. District Judge Sue L. Robinson at the annual State of the Court luncheon organized by the Federal Bar Association’s Delaware chapter.
The award is given to attorneys who show “legal acumen, professional decorum and public service,” according to a release.
The award’s namesake, Caleb Rodney Layton III, served as a district judge on the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware for more than 30 years, a release said.
Brauerman concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate, commercial and intellectual property litigation.
