Superior Court President Judge James T. Vaughn Jr., Superior Court Judges Jan R. Jurden, Mary Miller Johnston and Calvin L. Scott Jr., Family Court Chief Judge Chandlee Johnson Kuhn and Widener Law professor Lawrence A. Hamermesh are said to be among the candidates who applied to succeed retiring Supreme Court Justice Jack B. Jacobs, according to sources familiar with the process.
As of press time, it was not known if additional candidates had applied for the opening. All applications had to be submitted to Judicial Nominating Commission Chair William B. Chandler III by noon today.
