A gun-rights advocacy group has filed a lawsuit challenging Delaware’s impending criminalization of unregistered firearms, claiming the bill signed into law last week infringes on freedom of speech and the rights to due process and to bear arms.

The complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware by the Firearms Policy Coalition and two Delawareans against Gov. John Carney and Attorney General Kathy Jennings asks the federal court to declare the measure, which was passed as House Bill No. 125, unconstitutional.
