DuPont companies have agreed to enter into a $50 million settlement with the Delaware state government, resolving the state’s claims involving the effects of chemical compounds used at their facilities for more than two centuries.

The settlement with E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. the Chemours Co., DuPont de Nemours Inc. and Corteva Inc., Attorney General Kathy Jennings announced Tuesday, is to be used for a variety of environmental efforts, including sampling, analysis and restoration.
