Janet Sullivan | eDiscovery Counsel & Global Director of Practice Technology | White & Case

In her current role as eDiscovery Counsel & Global Director of Practice Technology at White & Case, Ms. Sullivan is leading litigation practice technology innovation for the firm, and finding new ways to leverage cutting edge technologies to better serve firm clients. She also serves as legal advisor on issues related to firm clients’ preservation, identification, collection, and use of data in litigation matters and investigations. Ms. Sullivan has significant experience in facilitating communications between business, legal and technology teams. In addition, Ms. Sullivan is responsible for transforming the firm’s in-house eDiscovery operational model which focuses on the tactical implementation of industry leading technology to achieve cost savings and strategic advantage.

Ms. Sullivan has over twenty years of experience as a trial attorney and over a decade of internal and client facing technical consulting in eDiscovery. She is a past Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Product Liability and Toxic Tort Section, a former Special Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York, and a former Adjunct Professor of Legal Reasoning and Writing at New York Law School. She is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Washington D.C.

David Dummer | Global Litigation Lead | Sidley Austin

David Dummer is the Global Litigation Lead for Sidley Austin’s Knowledge Management team. Sidley’s KM team aims to find relevant information and provide access to it, when and where the firm needs it in a way that improves client service and firm performance. We focus on the capture, organization and re-use of information related to our people and their experience, the work we have done, and other information useful to the practice of law.

Before joining the KM team, David practiced complex commercial litigation for almost 20 years and focused on the representation of companies, boards of directors, and private equity funds in business litigation and internal investigations.

Outside of work, David is the father of 2 boys who turn 5 and 7 this summer and enjoys being active in the Dallas community. He is a Board member of USA Film Festival, and for the past two years has been the co-chair of KidFilm, the nation’s longest running children’s film festival. Originally from Kentucky, David attended Tulane University and Duke University School of Law. He clerked for the United States District Judge Thomas B. Russell (retired) before joining private practice.

Eric La Scola | Manager, Solutions Marketing | Nuance Communications

Eric La Scola is the Manager of Solutions Marketing for the Dragon Professional team at Nuance. In this role, he drives the marketing strategy and develops the product positioning and messaging that distinguish Dragon voice recognition solutions in document-intensive sectors such as the legal, law enforcement, finance, and enterprise sectors. Before joining Nuance, Eric held key B2B technology sales and marketing positions, bringing computing solutions to market that solved mission-critical business problems, improved organizational processes, and mitigated risk for enterprise, creative and technical, and educational technology users. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Boston College.

Bill Geyer is experienced sales executive focused on leveraging cloud-based speech recognition solutions to accelerate turnaround times & lower costs of Time-Sensitive, Revenue Critical and Compliance-Required documentation within the Legal Services industry.
