Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel attorney Dennis J. Butler was selected to address students, faculty and guests at the 2018 Capstone Design Conference presented by Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Science, Engineering, and Technology.
Held each year, the Capstone Design Conference provides graduating engineering students with an opportunity to combine classroom learning with real-life applications and to collaborate with industry sponsors, according to a press release provided by Panitch Schwarze. During his address, Butler shared experiences and advice to inspire students and to help them succeed after graduation.
Butler joined Panitch Schwarze in 2000 from Boeing’s defense and space group, where he was a structural engineer on the vertical takeoff and landing of V-22 Osprey and CH-47 Chinook aircraft programs. He also was an engineer with United Technologies, working on large commercial and military aircraft engines. Butler has additional experience as patent counsel for the spine division of Synthes Inc., now Johnson & Johnson’s Depuy Synthes Cos.
At Panitch Schwarze, Butler focuses his practice on protection of intellectual property in the mechanical arts, particularly for medical device and equipment companies and intellectual property disputes in federal courts.
