A Macon gun shop is seeking an emergency injunction to protect what it claims are millions of dollars’ worth of rare guns—including a Colt M16 once handled by President John F. Kennedy—that were seized by Georgia revenue agents over less than $150,000 in unpaid taxes.

According to an emergency petition filed Monday in Fulton County Superior Court, agents with the state Department of Revenue came to The Rifleman gun store on Aug. 18 and seized nine “museum quality weapons” with an appraised value of more than $50 million.
