The State Bar of Georgia on May 4 presented the Commitment to Equality Awards to recognize the efforts of lawyers and legal employers committed to providing opportunities that foster a more diverse legal profession for members of underrepresented groups in Georgia. The awards are presented to lawyers who not only personally excel in their own practices, but also have demonstrated a commitment to promoting diversity in the legal profession.

On May 20, Swift Currie staff, clients and families volunteered to pack box lunches at Action Ministries. The 85 volunteers they packed 800 boxes—about 25,000 meals—in two hours. These boxes will feed 2,704 families. Action Ministries is a nonprofit that provides a network of community partners and volunteers with the tools and expertise to help lift Georgians out of poverty.
