S. Derek Bauer of Baker Hostetler is an Atlanta litigator with a passion for the First Amendment. He has his work cut out for him now in the one stoplight farm town of Ocilla 200 miles south, where a gag order is making headlines.
Ocilla (pop. 4,500) is preparing for a murder trial police hope will solve the disappearance of beauty queen and high school history teacher Tara Grinstead. She was crowned Miss Tifton in a nearby city that’s home to the Georgia Peanut Commission and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
