Atlanta lawyer Claud “Tex” McIver accidentally shot his wife, Diane McIver, Sunday night with a gun he’d taken out for fear of carjackers while the couple was being driven to their Buckhead residence, according to a family friend acting as a spokesperson for him.
Diane McIver was rushed to Emory University Hospital in DeKalb County but died while undergoing surgery at 12:49 a.m. on Monday from complications from the gunshot wound, according to an Atlanta Police Department report released Wednesday.
