Super Bowl LIII won’t kick off until 2019, but the King & Spalding team worked on the game plan for nearly a year to help Atlanta clinch its bid to be the host city.

K&S corporate partner Justin King led a small group of attorneys on the project: partner Scott Petty, who handled intellectual property issues; senior tax associate Robert Beard; corporate associate Nick Brown; and associate Greg Lucas, who also worked on tax issues. They closely collaborated with former K&S partner Michael Egan, who is general counsel at AMB Group, the Atlanta Falcons’ parent company.
