Nobody around town referred to the old Sears & Roebuck building on Ponce de Leon Avenue as an icon before 2010. It was just an eyesore.

Then, Jamestown LP decided the 90-year-old building was worth redoing as a mixed-use development of offices, residences, restaurants, shopping and the occasional rooftop concert by the Indigo Girls, among other big music acts.
