A Savannah jury has awarded $4.8 million to a Kennesaw couple and their children against a businessman who shot at the family’s sport utility vehicle on Interstate 95 as they were heading home from a vacation at Hilton Head Island.
The verdict included $1.6 million in compensatory damages and $3.2 million in punitive damages after a four-day trial before Chatham County State Court Judge Herman Coolidge Jr.
