A former DeKalb County Superior Court judge has been indicted by a Cobb County grand jury on charges that she lied to the state judicial watchdog agency about her handling of a public corruption case.

The grand jury on Thursday indicted Cynthia Becker—who retired from the DeKalb bench on March 1—on four counts of making false statements to the state Judicial Qualifications Commission during its ethics investigation of Becker. She also was charged with two counts of making false statements in writing to the JQC.
