Former Jones Day partner Jean-Paul Boulee was sworn in as a DeKalb County Superior Court judge on Monday morning during a ceremony at the State Capitol.

In his acceptance speech, Boulee, a former veteran, pledged his commitment to establishing a veterans court in DeKalb County in order to deter from prison veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and substance abuse, and push them toward treatment and employment. Boulee, who served in the U.S. Army for eight years in between the two Gulf Wars, paid tribute to those serving who have had to put themselves in harm’s way.
