In a bit of post-legislative session housekeeping, Gov. Nathan Deal has appointed a slew of members, including nine lawyers, to various state boards and commissions.
Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney Brian Rickman will sit among state lawmakers, physicians and law enforcement officials on the newly created Georgia Commission on Medical Cannabis. The 17-member commission was created by the passage of House Bill 1 and is charged with recommending policies and regulations pertaining to medical cannabis in Georgia.
