One of two metro Atlanta lawyers indicted on racketeering charges that were thrown out by the Georgia Supreme Court in 2013 has sued gun manufacturer Glock Inc. and three of its outside counsel, claiming they orchestrated a bogus and malicious prosecution to hide Glock’s own criminal activities.

Jeffrey Pombert filed the suit in federal court in Atlanta late Wednesday afternoon. In addition to Glock Inc., the suit names as defendants New York lawyer John Renzulli—Glock’s longtime outside counsel—Washington lawyer Robert Core and Atlanta attorney James Deichert, a former federal prosecutor who is now counsel at Atlanta’s Fellows LaBriola. The defendants include Consultinvest Inc., which is part of Gaston Glock Sr.’s corporate empire; Renzulli is its chief executive officer.
